So Summer is here…
And for some, that means vacations are around the corner. I’m contemplating going to Chicago in July to see the family, but with flight fees soaring to a new high, I might need to rethink that one.
But for a lot of people, the concept of a vacation is dwindling in meaning more and more these days.
“First there was the shorter vacation, then the workation and the staycation. Now comes the latest signpost that the recession is changing the way Americans live — the nocation,” reported NPR’s Linton Weeks.
Are you going away on your vacation? Or will you just be laying low at home?

I’m probably going away for my vacation but not too far away, either San Antonio or Austin.
And on a side note, I think the phrase “workation” should automatically be ranked among the most offensive words in the English language.

I’ve been doing the nocation thing for years already. It won’t be new to me!! My son is a firefighter in FL and I’d love to take a trip to see him. Maybe next year.
