Training Day 2009

42-18391670So Training Day has come and gone. We’ve gotten a lot of great responses from the staff (which filled our buckets).

My favorite part was the Branding portion…um, just kidding. Really, my favorite part was the last presentation on How Full is Your Bucket. And in particular, the stats on the Korean war – wow! To die of a negative ambiance…there’s one I’d never heard of before. But it makes sense.

I never knew how much more room for positivity I had. Gave me something to think about – as I’m sure many of you can concur.

Any particular moments that stand out from that day that you’d like to share? What was your favorite part? Least favorite part? Anything that hit home for you?

Sound off!

Perks to being a credit union in Hollywood

Christy, Marketing Manager for Sun Credit Union in Hollywood, Florida regaled us marketers of her recent bout of luck. Her credit union was approached by a location scout for possible use of their Main Office to shoot Nickelback’s most recent music video for their latest hit “If Today Was Your Last Day”.  Whether you like the band or not is irrelevant. :)

HTFFFCU Goes Back to the 80s

Posted in Credit Union with tags , , on October 8, 2008 by Lori

As you all know, our annual training day will be here before you can say, “Nobody puts Baby in a corner.” And we all know what this year’s theme is.

Yes, the 80s were one’s of extremity…neon colors, Mohawks, Madonna cones…I mean, really!

OK, so many of may’ve been born in the 80s (me included), but that doesn’t mean I don’t remember television shows such as Out of this World – don’t you just wish you could stop time – Alf and My Secret Identity. Oh, and how about He-Man (Skeletor was EVIL) and Thundercats (Thundercats! HOOOOOOO!)

We all know the fashion was horrendous – can we say “shoulder pads”? But what about the toys? Remember My Little Pony? How about Glo Worm? And who can admit they owned a Pillow Person?

So what about you? What do you remember from this outrageous decade?
